Preset Submission Requirements
Preset Submission Guidelines
Thank you for contributing to StadiumHelix.com.
Our goal is to create the largest community-driven library of Helix presets available anywhere.
To keep the marketplace organized and ensure that presets work properly for users, all submissions must follow the guidelines below.
1. Upload Format
All presets must be uploaded as a single ZIP file.
The ZIP package should contain the preset files, documentation, and a preview image. This makes it easier for users to download and understand how the preset works.
2. Minimum Required Files
Every preset submission must include at least three files.
Documentation File
A PDF document describing the preset.
Example:
preset-name.pdf
This document should explain things such as:
- Amp model used
- Effects used
- Snapshot descriptions
- Recommended guitar type
- Any special instructions for the preset
Preview Image
An image used for the preset listing.
Example:
preset-name_image.png
This image will appear on the preset page so users can visually identify the preset.
Recommended format:
- PNG image
- Square image preferred
- Suggested size: 1000 x 1000 pixels
Helix Preset File
At least one Helix preset file must be included.
Supported preset formats include:
preset-name_stadium.hsp
preset-name_Helix.hlx
preset-name_HXStomp.hlx
preset-name_Native.hlx
Only one preset format is required, but creators are encouraged to include multiple versions if their preset supports multiple Helix devices.
3. Optional Preset Files
You may include additional Helix preset versions in your submission if available.
For example, a preset package might contain:
preset-name_stadium.hsp
preset-name_Helix.hlx
preset-name_HXStomp.hlx
preset-name_Native.hlx
Providing multiple formats allows more players to use your preset across different Helix devices.
4. File Naming Guidelines
Please use clear and consistent naming for your files.
Example package:
my-awesome-tone.pdf
my-awesome-tone_image.png
my-awesome-tone_Helix.hlx
my-awesome-tone_HXStomp.hlx
Using consistent names helps keep the preset library organized.
5. ZIP Package Structure
Your final submission should be compressed into a ZIP file.
Example:
my-awesome-tone.zip
Inside the ZIP file:
my-awesome-tone.pdf
my-awesome-tone_image.png
my-awesome-tone_Helix.hlx
or
my-awesome-tone.pdf
my-awesome-tone_image.png
my-awesome-tone_Helix.hlx
my-awesome-tone_HXStomp.hlx
my-awesome-tone_Native.hlx
6. Preset Quality Guidelines
Please only upload presets that:
- Work properly on the intended device
- Have clear documentation
- Are organized and easy to understand
- Do not contain copyrighted material
The goal is to provide high-quality presets that help other musicians achieve great tones quickly.
