Preset Documentation Guide
Overview
The Mesa/Boogie® Mark IIC is one of the most iconic high-gain guitar amplifiers ever produced. Introduced in the early 1980s, the Mark IIC became famous for its tight low end, articulate midrange, and singing lead tones. It was widely used in rock and metal recordings because of its ability to deliver both crystal clean tones and aggressive, saturated lead sounds with exceptional note clarity.
This preset recreates the dual-channel behavior of the Mark IIC, including the Normal channel for cleans and crunch, and the Lead channel for high-gain sustain. All traditional switch functions have been modeled to allow players to dial in tones ranging from vintage blues to classic metal.
The Mark IIC sound is known for:
• Tight and controlled low end
• Focused midrange punch
• Smooth singing lead tones
• Highly responsive dynamic range
• Excellent note definition under high gain
This preset is designed to capture that classic response while remaining flexible for modern players.
